A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR
Hello!
I am so glad you stopped by today for A Very Merry Christmas Home Tour!
(Click here to see my regular, everyday home tour!)
The day after Thanksgiving my daughter and I decorated for Christmas. And we both love how things turned out. We took a chance going with green and black, but we think it worked!

I have to say that green ornaments are surprisingly hard to find! I guess since most people go with a green tree, the green ornaments would be hidden. Walmart was where I finally found them and I bought the last package. That was a relief because I was not willing to change things up colorwise!

Welcome To The Living Room
I am pretty sure that most of you know I am addicted to black gingham! So, of course, it made its way into our decorating! Once again I bought a curtain and I managed to use it for stars, garland, and napkins. Pretty good for $20, don’t you think?
I am all for a good bargain, and Christmas decorating is no exception!
That wooden star and the “merry” sign are my favorites! They found their way into my basket at Michael’s and I am only sad that the “merry sign will be mostly for holiday use. The wooden star with stay out all year long!

Welcome To The Dining Area
I am a bit giddy about how the dining table area looks. It was a surprise to find that aqua looks good with the vintage green! This information is filed away for after Christmas and I plan to change the colors in my living room just a bit (hint: the green is going to stay!).
The chargers, flowers, and candlesticks are from Michael’s and the rest is mostly what I already had.
Always remember that when it comes to decorating, you can save a lot of money by “shopping your house” first. Just look for color and do not worry about seasonality or print.
Add those pops of color all over and you will be surprised at how “happy” it makes your space.
Thank you for stopping by today! And I wish you the merriest of Christmases!

The green and black is such a fun combination! I’ve never thought about the lack of green ornaments before….I have some thrifted ones, but I always use them in bowls or something instead of on the tree.
Hi Gretchen,
was little surprised about the lack of green as well, but I guess most people focus on red with green as an accent…on the tree! 🙂
Have a lovely day and thank you for stopping by!
Randi
I love the colors in your home and the colors you went with in your decorations!! So fun and fresh!
Thank you, Sarah!
I am so inspired by your black and white check! So chic and lovely!
Thank you, Laura! I am quite addicted to the gingham, these days!
Randi,
I absolutely adore how light and airy your home is! While green and black is a unique color combo, I think it turned out beautifully. I love how the green ornaments pop on the white tree.
Much love,
Erica
Thank you, Erica!
Super cute! Love the b&w gingham and your Christmas table greens and black with the aqua are perfection! Pinning.
Thank you, Kathy!
Love your color scheme. It’s so different. As I put up all my Christmas ‘stuff’ this weekend, I realized how much red and green I have. Baby steps to get new colors in there! Visiting from Talk of the Town.
Thank you, Victoria!
Very nice, Randi! I love the light you have in your home. Have a lovely holiday season.
You have a wonderful Christmas too, Robin!
I love the colors and pattern you used this year! So pretty!
Thanks, Lindsay!
I looooooove the white with green. What a fun and fresh color combo. And I’m also moderately obsessed with black and white check, so I’m loving it all.
Thanks a bunch, Kim!
It looks fantastic Randi! I love the green and black and your home looks so bright and festive! That white tree is a stunner too!
I love everything about this house – quite beautiful!
Ahhh, black and white gingham makes me happy sigh. Pair it with kelly green and I’m in love! Your tree is so simple and so delightful with a unique colour scheme that really pops! Beautiful work xo
Such a pretty Christmas tour Randi! Love the black gingham, zinc houses and your white Christmas tree!
I love the ladder wrapped with lights and start – very unique and festive! It all looks very fresh and bright! I am too ‘slightly’ obsessed with black white buffalo check… actually any color check! It always lifts my spirits! Visiting from We are Pinnable link party !
Using a curtain is brilliant! I always see curtains on clearance that I love, but it’s usually a size I don’t need, or it’s a just a single panel. Now I’m going to start buying them, yay! That buffalo check star garland is absolutely adorable. Happy Holidays!
Light and bright and so cheery.
