PICKING PAINT COLORS
Holy cow! Picking paint colors for my house is harder than I thought it would be!
You can check out my little-house tour to see what I am working with at this point.
In the past I have always stayed with some form of white on my living room walls, but I want to add some good color this time. But I also want a “flexible” color, meaning that I want it to be open to me changing the other colors in the room that I decorate with. This version of “seaglass” seems to work for me. It’s not quite blue, and not quite green, and it’s definitely not bright.
The “white” for my kitchen and dining room walls is next to seaglass and it’s called white flour. Those walls are getting the white treatment simply because I need to brighten up the area. The cabinets are black and I am not wanting to paint them right now, so brightening up the space around them is do-able.
I can guarantee that finished pictures are a couple of weeks away. A dining table is calling my name. And picking paint colors is the easy part!
The good thing is that when the painting is done and the table is done, the space will be ready to go. Then I can open my boxes of decorations and get to finishing it up. I am super excited to call this done.
And then, of course, I can get to the other home-improvement projects on my list.
As a quilter I have always found that I am most inspired to start new projects when I was working on something, and I find that to be true with my house. The more I dream about what I can do, the more ideas I come up with. And I am not sure if this is good or not.
I am going to count it as good and keep adding to my list. It’s keeps me out of trouble anyway!
What about you? Do you feel inspired when you are creating and working on something? Does your list just keep getting bigger?
I hope your day is full of smiles!
