MY FAVORITE CHALK PAINT PROJECTS
Chalk paint is a great way to simplify the process of re-doing a piece of furniture. The prep work is less, and you can create the vintage-y, worn look that is so popular right now. Wandering around on Pinterest the other day I found some great links that I want to share with you: my favorite chalk paint projects!
***Home Based Mom chalk painted a piano and it looks amazing! What a great statement piece for your living room, don’t you think? I always think that one piece of furniture in a room painted a really fun color really livens things up!
***I Heart Naptime really knocked it out of the park with this coral desk. Check out the piece she started with! It’s amazing what a coat of paint and a bit of love will do for an outdated desk. If this were in my house, I would keep that aqua typewriter sitting there all the time. It’s the perfect touch!
***Create Inspire chalk painted this lovely buffet. It has great lines and those are accented with some strategic sanding. Her post is filled with other great projects and lots of tips on chalk painting!
***Urban Patina chalk painted what she calls a “misfit” dresser. I have to say that this is the most awesome misfit I have seen in a long time. It’s adorable!
***How to Nest for Less made over a desk that had been sitting in her basement for years. I love what she came up with. It has the perfect amount of distressing and colors are just too fun!
***Brepurposed combined chalk paint with some repurposing and came up a stylish piece perfect for the living room or home office. I think it would be great to have a card catalog in my home. I remember those from the old days of visiting the library!
Chalk paint is a great way to begin your furniture flipping experience. It requires less prep and looks great!
Have a lovely day, friends!
