MODERN FARMHOUSE GINGHAM CHAIRS
I have a crush on Gingham! Especially if it’s black and white!
I came across these farmhouse kitchen chairs at a yard sale and I knew they would be painted black, and the seats covered with black and white gingham. I am glad to know my initial design idea was perfect for the set!
The chairs drew me in with their size and shape. They are nice and large, and I love the the shape of the backs. I was very happy to discover they were sturdy as well, and the $10 price on the set was the last straw…they hopped in my car and came home with me!
It took me a while to finish these up, and (as always!) I did not want to sell them, but my little house did not offer up any corners to keep these. Taking the pictures of them around my table made it extra hard to let them go since they looked great! I do, however, have a set of taller chairs that I will be giving this same treatment and they will sit at my kitchen island and also in my office. More on that coming soon…
Looking ahead
For now I have set up my furniture to be flipped in a line in my garage so I know exactly what to work on next. I have a tall console-type table that will be painted and I am thinking pink.
Really?
Yes, pink!
I have seen the cutest baby pink furniture recently and I want to try to emulate the look. It’s soft and a bit romantic and quite farmhouse-y, if you ask me. Finding the perfect color will be a challenge because I definitely want it subdued. Pink seems to me about as varied as green, and finding the perfect green is no easy task!
Four farmhouse kitchen chairs down and a bunch more to go. I love furniture flipping because I make pieces exactly as I would want them.
It’s good that my house is small, or I would hoard most of what I flip.
Yard sale season is starting and I can’t wait to find out what fun furniture comes my way!
