MAKE YOUR OWN DIY OUTDOOR KITCHEN AREA
These days the backyard is considered an extension of the house. It’s like extra square footage right outside your door. An outdoor overhaul can be quite expensive unless (of course!) you do it yourself!
My daughter is 15 and has a wonderful gang of friends who like to hang out around a fire pit and eat food. So I am doing my best to accommodate them with lots of space and a comfortable place to visit with each other. It is a great thing to have teenagers who like to be around, and it’s something that I really like to encourage.
And it’s only fitting that I can encourage it with a bit of DIY magic!
My first stop for ideas is always Pinterest. I swear I could pin for days, but I do try to limit myself so that I actually have time to make things!
Here are some fun ways to make your own DIY outdoor kitchen area:
Elisha @ Pneumatic Addict created my favorite grill station. I love both the set-up AND the color!
How about this outdoor serving center? It’s perfect for a party! Thanks Build Something!
This pallet bar really expands the outdoor space. You could easily serve and prepare food on this, or play games and visit. 1001 Pallets created a simple way to enlarge your space!
Lady Goats made this outdoor buffet and serving station. It’s so creative!
Unexpected Elegance shows you how to build a lovely grilling station.
Our Fifth House made up a great grilling station using pavers! It is actually pretty simple to assemble!
An outdoor kitchen area is a do-able DIY as long as you start with a plan that is according to your skill level. The nice thing about being a beginner is that it is often less expensive to create a space since it tends to use simpler materials.
No matter what you decide I hope you find ways to expand your house to the outdoors. It is perfect way to make entertaining possible and fun!
