AWESOME WAYS TO USE FRESH HERBS IN YOUR HOME
Fresh herbs are popping up all over the place these days, and I LOVE it!
Herbs are beautiful, aromatic, and they even have medicinal, healing qualities. I have a small patch of mint that is growing like crazy in my backyard and I use it for tea all the time.
The great thing about herbs is that they grow like weeds and they love to be pruned. Keep them watered, pinch them back and watch them go a bit crazy! They are a nice break from other high-maintenance plants!
Let me show you some of the best ideas I found for using fresh herbs:
Cilantro Lime Soap {Simply Stacie}
Store Fresh Herbs {Valentina’s Corner}
Essential Oil Rosemary-Lemon Body Scrub {Thrifty DIY Diva}
Indoor Herb Garden Ideas {Homesteading}
Freeze and Preserve Fresh Herbs in Olive Oil {Kitchn}
Make A Delicious Roasted Chicken {Cake N Knife}
Make A Headache Salve {Joybilee Farm}
Make Your Own Herbed Salts {Vegan Mother Hubbard}
A friend of mine freezes herbs in Olive Oil at the end of summer. When she wants to cook with them she simply tosses a cube or two in a pan and then sautes whatever she wants to. This technique creates a wonderful flavor and lets you use fresh herbs all year long!
One of my favorite ways to use herbs is in cooking, but also in making handmade soap. This is something that have not done in a while and I need to change that! I am thinking of making a tutorial so that you know how also. If you have interest in that I would love to know. Please comment!
