TURN AN OLD SWEATER INTO DIY HOME DECOR
I love recycled and repurposed projects! It feels so good to save money, avoid buying new things, AND come up with a cute project in the end! Let’s talk about Old Sweater Home Decor!
Since most of us are in the process of going through our seasonal clothes and keeping what fits, and sending away what doesn’t, old sweaters are a perfect to start. Keep in mind you are looking for colors and/or prints, and not necessarily a good-lookin’ sweater. It can be a bit outdated and still work well for these projects.
Let me show you some great ways to turn an old sweater into DIY home decor!
Unskinny Boppy {DIY Lampshade Tutorial}
Stone Gable Blog {Sweater Pumpkins}
Viva Veltoro {Easy Sweater Pillows}
Thrifty and Chic {Cute Storage Boxes}
Made By Barb {Upcycled Sweater Quilt}
Martha Stewart {Felted Knitting Basket}
So, are you inspired to go through your closets (or your friend’s closets) to find old sweaters? I hope so! There is no need to just send your ill-fitting and outdated items to the thrift store this year. Use them to add adorable and cozy home decor items throughout our house.
Just in case you love the look, but do not want to make it yourself, check out this goodness that I found on Amazon! (Affiliate links included in this post for your convenience. Click here to read my full disclosures).
Have a wonderful day!
I especially love the basket with the yarn in it, that’s so pretty!

They are fun ideas, aren’t they? Have a great day, Tania!
I’ve had a sweater pillow in the works for forever — I started it but had some troubles and set it aside. Maybe it’s time to finish that project! Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!

these are all wonderful. I’m particularly fond of the lampshade cover. Thank you for sharing at TFT. Featured and pinned xo
