HANDMADE HOLIDAYS: MILK BATH RECIPE
Handmade bath and body products are perfect Christmas gifts for your girlfriends! They are generally inexpensive to make and package, and I love to mass produce things like this and personalize them with either a friends favorite scent, or their favorite style of decorations on the package.
This particular recipe is quick and easy and you will definitely want to save some for yourself!
Gather the following items:
2 cups powdered, dry milk
1/2 cup baking soda (softens skin)
1/2 cup cornstarch (relieves dry skin)
1/2 cup epsom salts (soothing for sore muscles)
15-25 drops of essential oil (scent of your choice)
Mix all of the above ingredients in a bowl until well blended.
Now package it all up in a pretty jar or small fabric bag, and decorate as desired. Mason jars work well for this type of gift, but you can also check out Hobby Lobby for all kinds of cute containers. I used metallic baker’s twine and some tiny Christmas lights I found at Hobby Lobby to decorate my jars. You can attach a note telling your friend to add approximately 1/2 to 1 cup milk bath to bath water. Soak and relax!
Happy gifting, friends!
