Are you feeling the need to get some green going? I am feeling like I need to see some new growth and some warm weather. The next best thing for me is to “make it”! So these adorable DIY Fabric Covered Flower Pots were born!
Now, they will do nothing for the weather, but they make it possible to bring a little spring indoors!

Gather Your Supplies:
- Terra Cotta Pots
- Matte Mod Podge
- 1″ X 3″ fabric strips (I cut 1/8 yard), quilting cotton works great!
- Foam Brush
- Small Bowl
I am going to tell you honestly and upfront that this craft is simple, but it can be quite messy. My crafty style is “make a big ol’ mess and clean up when done”, so if you need to keep things a bit more in check, go for it and clean up along the way!

Brush a layer of Mod Podge along the top edge of your pots, overlapping to the inside of the pot about 1″, and dropping about 1″ below the outside edge. Add fabric strips on top of the Mod Podge. Applying fabric to 3″ sections works well.
This is what the finished top will look like:
Working horizontally, brush on Mod Podge and add the fabric strips around the bottom part of the pot.
This is what your completely covered pot will look like:
Apply Mod Podge all over the outside of the pot. Don’t be sparing here, but be sure to wipe away drips. Let the pot dry for 24 hours.
And you are done!
Make a few of these for an adorable set to place in a windowsill. This project is perfect for a girl’s craft night: not only is it simple, but it is also inexpensive to make!
Happy DIYing, Friends!
