HOW TO DECORATE WITH WOODEN LADDERS
I love decorating with vintage ladders for a bunch of reasons! They are adorable, they can be made into storage (like shelves) and they can add height to your decorating scheme. I always find it a challenge to find items that reach up from the floor to take up space on a wall, as it is a nice change from pictures just hanging there.
Rustic wooden ladders are so easy to find, and in my experience, they are generally priced to sell!
I once bought a vintage extension ladder for $1.00 and cut it into 3 pieces to make three quilt/blanket ladders. In my garage I have two 5 foot step ladders that I bought for $2.00 each and they are ready to be painted and made into fun storage. A friend of mine has already claimed one, but the other will be sold.
Honestly, I do not know why they are always so cheap, but I am happy to roll with that!
When buying a ladder feel free to pick one up that is in bad condition, since the more weathered and antiqued, the better, if you ask me!
