FURNITURE FLIP: MY FAVORITE TABLE
A friend of mine asked me a few months ago if I wanted a little table that was headed to her trash can. Of course, I said “yes”!
I am a collector of cast-off furniture pieces because I like free things. And I love to make something pretty out of them! So it seemed a perfect fit for me to be a part of this monthly Furniture Flippers Challenge!
This little table was in pretty sorry shape and I think it had spent too much time outside in the elements. I started out as a foldable table, but I set it up and added some screws on the sides to keep it sturdy, as my original plan was to use it outside on my patio to hold drinks and snacks when I have company.
It ended up so cute at the end that it now resides in my living room with a vase of flowers on top. I absolutely love the black and white combination and I had to keep it where I can see it every day!

My first step was to sand the table to smooth out the top with my orbital sander. This took a while since the top was weathered enough to be a bit wonky.
I went with black spray paint allover, and Dixie Belle (my favorite!) chalk paint for the top.
Once it was all painted I sanded the top lightly to bring out a bit of the black. I like a distressed look.
I also made a stencil with my vinyl cutter to add some visual interest to the top.
Here she is in her final glory:
I have to admit that I am crushing hard!
You are definitely going to want to take the tour of these other furniture projects! These gals are so talented and I am so happy to be part of this monthly Furniture Flipping Challenge!
