A MANTLE ALL DRESSED UP FOR FALL
Hello and thank you so much for stopping by!
I have been getting into fall mode over here! Sweaters and boots are back out, hot chocolate is ready to go and a few fun decor items have been added to my home to reflect this season.

You might remember that pink and bright green are my accent colors in my living space. With fall here I dialed the brightness down a bit and I love the result.
A Spruced Up Fall Mantle
This season’s color is so pretty and I see it everywhere. Is it pink? Peach? Salmon? Melon? I really do not know, but I sure like it. It has snuck into my closet too in the form of a pair of jeans. Yes, I bought myself a pair of pink jeans and I am freaking out about that.
What is happening to me?
Two years ago I was practically campaigning against pink as a signature color and now I have adopted it as my own.
Change is good, right?
When I bought my little house I was so excited about the mantle behind my couch. Of course, most mantles are above a fireplace, but I do not have that luxury right now. I do, however, love to style it just like I would a fireplace mantle.
Since my mantle is so long I generally add some “space taking” pieces on the ends, such as the boxes of flowers. If I do not do that there is too much room to decorate and it ends up looking haphazard.
And I do not do haphazard!
As per my usual, switching out flowers was a big part of my color change. These ones were found at Michael’s and they were 50% off. I always love a good craft store sale, don’t you?
You might remember these boxes were originally in my kitchen. One thing I always do when I want a new look in my house is to “shop my house” and move around what I have. It saves money and creates a wonderful new decor look.
