HOW TO CLEAN YOUR HOUSE LIKE A PRO
How To Clean House Like A Professional
You might be surprised to know that professional house cleaners get their work done differently than your average person. Pros are more concerned about efficiency and the bottom dollar since house cleaning is a job for them. The faster and easier they make their job, the more money and satisfaction they get out of it.
You and I can apply many of the same principles they use to make our house cleaning more efficient as well. Streamlining the process will give us more time for the important things in life like family and friends. There is not one person that I know that legitimately loves cleaning house and desires to spend lots of time doing it.
You will be surprised to find how improved your cleaning day is simply by adding a couple of these principles. Start small by adding one or two this week and add on more as the weeks go by. These tips will become part of your process before you know it!
After a while, you will find yourself wasting less time on cleaning but at the same time having a cleaner house!
And that sure sounds good to me!

How To Clean House Fast And Easy
Get Organized Before You Clean
Before you dive into scrubbing and wiping things down, get your space organized. Clear off counters and put items in their correct place. Declutter and move unnecessary things somewhere else. Not only will you feel great about getting organized, but it will also be so much simpler to clean since fewer things are in the way. If your kitchen counter is covered with bills, dirty plates, and car keys, your cleaning time will be prolonged. Getting the space decluttered first will make the job quicker!
Getting organized is a task that might need to be done once and for all prior to a “big” cleaning. If you struggle quite a bit with clutter, I suggest that you get that in control before moving on to creating your cleaning schedule. Having a lot of unnecessary junk in the way while you are trying to clean a house simply makes for a difficult and frustrating time.
Move Things Off The Surface You Are Going To Clean
This one is a lot like the previous tip, but here we are talking about things that belong on the counter. Move them before you clean and take care of the whole surface. This will be much easier than picking up one item at a time and cleaning under it. Move everything, clean the whole surface, and then place everything back where it belongs.
Clean Top To Bottom And Left To Right
Cleaning in this pattern will allow you to move all the dust and dirt particles to the floor before cleaning it, but it will also allow you to move over every surface without having to backtrack. If you hop from side to side when you are cleaning you are much more apt to accidentally leave things undone and surfaces unattended.
Vacuum And Sweep At The End
Cleaning the floors at the end will make it so that all of the dust and dirt is picked up. When you dust upper shelves and counters the dirt falls down. Cleaning top to bottom allows for all of the dirt to be gathered and disposed of when the job is done.
Vacuuming first and then dusting really doesn’t do much in a room except for moving the dust around.
How To Clean House Fast And Efficiently
Place Your Products And Supplies In A Caddy
Carrying a caddy around the house with you as you clean avoids you having to run around the house to find and get what you need. Everything is already in its place. Using multi-purpose cleaners makes this step doable since you won’t have to carry around as many items. Cleaners, sponges, gloves, cloths and cleaning products can all fit in a decent-sized caddy.
Spray Your Products On Surfaces And Let Them Sit For A Few Minutes
This allows for dirt to loosen up, oils to lift and bacteria to die. It also makes the job quicker for you since less scrubbing and effort will be needed if you let your products sit prior to wiping down surfaces.
Use An Extension Cord
This is another time-saving tip! Using an extension cord will cut the times you have to plug and unplug the vacuum as you move from room to room. As with anything, decreasing the number of steps involved in getting to the finish line, the quicker the job is taken care of!
Vacuum The Furniture
You would be surprised to know how much dust and dirt accumulate on your furniture! Vacuuming each week will keep it to a minimum. You could use this time to vacuum blinds and lampshades as well. Of course, vacuum the couch prior to vacuuming the floor to make sure everything gets picked up at floor level.
House cleaning does not need to be an all-consuming task. Adding a couple of these tips and tricks each week will help you get your cleaning time under control. Not only will you find yourself with a cleaner home, but you will also end up saving time.
And just think of all of the things you could do with some free time!
Happy cleaning, friends!
