RUSTIC DIY HOME DECOR
CHEAP AND EASY RUSTIC DIY HOME DECOR
When it comes to decorating your home, the budget is often high on the list…if not first on the list! At least it is for me!
I have found that DIY projects are the perfect way to achieve the look I want while keeping my money in my bank account. DIYing your own projects is the way to go, for sure!
Did you know that the best way to grow your DIY skills is to just start DIYing?
You will certainly gain new skills and make some adorable projects, but you also need to plan on some failures…this is all a part of the process.
Which one of the rooms in your house do you want to makeover?
I am really in the mood to add a new look to my living room. Although I love the look, I am a bit tired of it. I painted the room 3 years ago and I am thinking a new color is in order this Spring. Once I paint the walls I will need to add some new color and texture to my decor as well.
And you KNOW I am going to be working on some DIY projects! I am simply loving some of these! One of those console tables is certainly going to be made. I have a window wall in my living room that needs something. I figure the table will provide storage as well as an area for display.
Are you having trouble finding the time to DIY and Craft? Is your home too small to create a workspace for yourself? Let me help you with that! In “CREATE” I will show you how to find the time and claim it as your own. I will also show you where to find space in your small house to make it happen. Let me encourage you towards your DIY dreams!

RUSTIC BEDROOM IDEAS ON A BUDGET
Last year I remodeled my small bedroom with a budget of $100. Paint, of course, was on the list of things that got done and so were some fun DIY projects. Click here and you can read more about my Farmhouse Style Bedroom Makeover!
One of my favorite things in my bedroom is the Wall Mounted Hook Rack. It seriously took me about one hour from start to finish and was so easy! I love that I can change up the look and the colors in my room by adding different color flowers and wreaths.
Really, it is the little projects that make the big difference!
Another thing I love about my bedroom is the quilt ladder. I simply took an old ladder and cut it to size and painted it. So simple and so very cheap!
I hang a number of quilts on it during the spring and summer since they are not being used. This turns them into cute and eye-catching decor items. So much better than storing them in a closet!

KITCHEN RUSTIC HOME DECOR IDEAS
My kitchen is visible once you walk into my house so I made it cute! My daughter still makes fun of me that I wanted to paint the black cabinets because I hated them at first. But once I got things in order they look perfect with my grey couch and black accents throughout the living area. I am even thinking of adding more black in that living space and using green as an accent. That just seems so fresh and Spring-y to me!
If I had a larger house I would definitely be adding a barn door over the pantry, but I do not have space for one at this point. I love the rustic look that barn doors add to a home!
Be sure to check out the clock below. I really love the look and it appears quite simple to make. It would be perfect hanging on my wall.

STORAGE AND ORGANIZATION RUSTIC HOME DECOR IDEAS
Organization is a big issue in my house because it is so small. Before I moved in I downsized quite a bit, but over the last three years, I have collected stuff again.
How does that even happen?
Like I said, one of these console tables will be going in my living room and I can’t wait to pick out cute baskets for storage. I love how Anika used colorful books as decor. So very creative and practical!
The pantry shelves below would also work perfectly in a garage. And to honest, that is one area I could and should pay some attention to. My garage is quite cluttered and I do not use the space well.
Since I use it as a workspace also, some organization and storage would be ideal. But it is also one of those spaces that is just not fun to re-do, you know?
That shoe storage bench is perfect for a large family! How cute would that be in a mudroom?
