FRONT DOOR WREATHS WITH ROLLED PAPER FLOWERS
DIY WREATH FOR FRONT DOOR
I have been wanting to make a craft with rolled paper flowers for a while now, and since we are all social distancing these days, now seemed like the perfect time! My thought is that this Heart Wall Art With Rolled Paper Flowers will be a great project for you to make. After all, “making” is a good way to add peace to our lives, don’t you think?
This heart wreath would look perfect on your living room wall or hanging on your front door. I always like to have a pretty wreath that I switch out with the seasons to create a pretty look for my home decor.
My neighbor always has beautiful wreaths on her front door and I love finding out what she has in store when it is time to change things up. She inspires me!
This tutorial is quite simple and you can make it while you watch TV or have downtime. No need to set aside a lot of time or money for this one. And I love a good on-budget project, don’t you?

The supplies are quite simple to find. You might even find that you have them in your home. The one item you will probably have to buy is the Heart Wood Plaque, and that is found at Hobby Lobby. The link is below in the supplies list. Be sure to wait until they have a 50% off sale to get yours or use their 40% off coupon—it is always available to use on a regular priced item.

PAPER FLOWER WREATH DIY
Let’s get to making!
You can either follow the step by step tutorial below or scroll down to watch the video.
STEP ONE: Download your Circle Template from my Resource Library or cut your own. The circles do not need to be perfect and you can size them as you want. I think going too small will be quite tricky, but try it if you like and let me know how it goes. A bunch of tiny flowers would be so cute!
STEP TWO: Cut your circles out. You can decide how many you want to use. I used 10 for my heart wreath.
STEP THREE: Using your scissors (paper scissors, of course!) cut around approximately 3/4″ into the paper. There will be a little bump on your first go around and you can trim that if you like. No worries if you leave it. Also, you will end up with a little circle at the end. That will be your base for gluing the flower.
STEP FOUR: Starting on the outside of the circle, roll the paper around with your finger, keeping the inside of the flower tight. You will notice that as you go around the circle, the paper starts to “fan out”. This is normal.
STEP FIVE: Keep winding tightly until the paper is completely rolled, leaving your base free.
STEP SIX: Release your fingers a little at a time from the roll. Your flower will wind out a bit. This creates the look of petals.
STEP SEVEN: Shape your flower as desired and add a good-sized drop glue to secure the bottom of your roll to the base. Hold in place until the glue dries.
STEP EIGHT: Arrange your flowers on the heart plaque and glue them in place.
You are now ready to hang your Heart Wreath anywhere in your home! The hanging string makes this one simple to hang up or you can use a wreath hanger for your front door to avoid putting a nail in it! I dug my wreath hanger out of my Christmas box to hang this one!
