DIY FIRE PIT IDEAS
DIY FIRE PITS
A DIY fire pit is the perfect backyard fun spot!
It is a perfect gathering space on nice evenings for family and friends. Technically, all you need is some wood and a match to make it happen, but feel free to add music, smore’s and wine to turn it into a party.
My daughter likes to invite her friends over on the weekends and they spend hours talking, laughing, and telling stories around the fire. Honestly, their noise is such a beautiful sound to my ear. I think my neighbors might disagree, but that is a story for another time!
Building a DIY backyard fire pit sets the stage for a fun summer. I have gathered a whole bunch of awesome tutorials ranging from easy to more challenging, and really cheap to investing a bit of money.
I also rounded up some great DIY fire pit area ideas. Oh my gosh, some of them are just beautiful! I love that you can use backyard space to essentially create another usable room in your home. This comes in handy for me since my house is quite small and it doesn’t accommodate a crowd. Getting some people outside helps to allow for more people at the party…and that is important, don’t you think?

CHEAP DIY FIRE PITS
OK, let’s talk about how low we can go!
Building a DIY fire pit does not have to cost a ton of money OR take a lot of time! The least expensive fire pit tutorial I could find cost around $50. And the more simple ones only take a couple of hours to put together.
That is not bad at all! Especially when you consider that once it is done, you have a whole season’s worth of entertainment for your family and friends!
That makes a DIY backyard fire pit quite a bargain!

DIY FIRE PIT AREA
Building a fire pit area is obviously going to take more time and money to create, but I venture to say it is a worthwhile investment! You essentially add an extra room onto your home by harnessing and using your outdoor space.
