Hobby Lobby is my happy place and it is so easy to save money if you know Hobby Lobby sale cycle and you use their coupon!

I have done some digging to find the information I need to save money for myself, and I thought you might enjoy having that information as well.

There are several ways to save money at Hobby Lobby, both online and in-store. And the way to best know how to do that is to be aware of the Hobby Lobby sale cycle! Yes, there is a method to the madness!

If you keep this information handy, you can shop when it works best for you and even plan ahead to get the goods that you need.

One awesome thing about Hobby Lobby is that you can either purchase Craft Supplies or Home Decor. In other words, you can make it yourself or buy it already made. Honestly, their home decor is quite cute and it comes in all different styles, plus it is affordable. And when you add the “affordable” I am in 100%!

The main items I buy at Hobby Lobby are flower stems (their selection is AMAZING!), craft supplies, baskets (for cute home organization), and home decor items.

Plus I absolutely love Hobby Lobby drawer pulls and knobs for flipping furniture.

Let me share what I have learned about how to save money with the Hobby Lobby sales and their coupon.

The Hobby Lobby Sale Cycle

Hobby Lobby has a schedule to when they put items on sale. Since I make projects for my home and for my blog, I generally keep a list of what I need ahead of time and I shop over a period of a month so that I can buy it all on sale. Of course, I can not always be that organized, but I do it when it works. Here is how their schedule works:

Floral (50%), Yarn and Needle Art Supplies (30%), and Frames (50%) go on sale every other week.
Once every three weeks you will find Crafts (30%) and Jewelry Making Supplies (50%) off.
Every four weeks you will find Home Decor (50%), Paper Craft (40%), and Fabric (30%) on sale.
The items that go on sale less often are Planners and Supplies and Vinyl Cutting Machines.

If you pay attention and plan ahead, you can easily save money on everything in their store. Lucky for me, most of the items I like to buy are priced at 50% off on a regular basis.

The floral section is great! I can get stuck there trying to pick out flowers for a project simply because there is so much to choose from. My favorite are the Ranunculus Stems and I buy those almost every time I go. Ridiculous, I know, but they sure are pretty! I use them in my own home decor and also for DIY gifts for friends. Be sure to check the clearance section when you visit the store. You can find great items up to 90% off! Right after Christmas, all of the seasonal things go on sale at 66% off and after a while they end up at 90% off. If you are sure you want something in particular I suggest buying it at 66% off so that it doesn’t sell out before you can get it.

If the sale items you want are out of stock, you can ask for a rain check.

Hobby Lobby 40% Off Coupon

The Hobby Lobby coupon is always available on their site for use. It is a 40% off coupon that you can use for one regular-priced item. You will find it towards the top right of their website and you can use it online or in-store.

There is a way to use the coupon for Hobby Lobby more than once in a shopping trip and that is to let your kids buy individual items for you, or invite friends to help. I have done both! Just be sure to print out individual coupons for each person. And make sure that the items you are buying with the coupon are not on sale or clearance. It only applies to regular-priced items.

If an item is on sale for 30% off, just ask the clerk to use the 40% coupon instead. They are happy to do that!

The coupon applies for up to 10-yard cut of a regular-priced fabric or trim as well.

If you combine the Hobby Lobby coupon with the weekly sales ad, you can get almost everything on your list on sale.

Hobby Lobby Sale For This Week

On their website, you can easily find the Hobby Lobby sales ad for this week. This weekly sale always starts on Monday and ends on Sunday (please note that the store is closed on Sundays, but you can purchase online).

If you follow the tips above for the Hobby Lobby sale cycle, you always know what is coming and you can plan your shopping list accordingly. Of course, shopping online helps with this if you do not have a store nearby.

The App For Hobby Lobby

The Hobby Lobby app works on iPhones and SmartPhones. You can access the weekly sale ad, the 40% off coupon, online shopping, and order tracking. It is a lot easier to use the app when you want to use the coupon. All you have to do is show the clerk when you are checking out.
