GORGEOUS FARMHOUSE BEDROOM DECORATING IDEAS
FARMHOUSE MASTER BEDROOM IDEAS
I love Farmhouse style home decor, don’t you? And I especially love it in the bedroom!
The bedroom is a perfect space for beautiful wood pieces, wire elements, and vintage-inspired fabrics.
These items create a peaceful sanctuary in a room that is meant for stillness and quiet.
For me, my bedroom is my perfect space. It is almost always clean and tidy even when the rest of my home might be a bit out of order. For many years I have made my bed every day and straightened things up in the morning. That way if the rest of the house is awry, I can go to my bedroom for some peace and quiet.
I think this also translates into creating a peaceful space for sleeping at night. If my room was cluttered and needed cleaning all the time, it would really stress me out.
Now I will admit that as a single gal, half of my bed usually has books, journals, and a laptop on it. Plus at night I might have a snack wrapper or two sitting there!
But other than that, my bedroom is a picture of peace and tranquility (I am laughing a little bit right now)!

FARMHOUSE BEDROOM DECOR IDEAS
If you have ever wondered how to get started on decorating your bedroom, I am here to help!
Whether you are decorating a guest bedroom, a master bedroom, or your child’s bedroom, it all starts with a plan.
This is when you need to get out a piece of paper (or make a new document on your computer) and write all of your farmhouse bedroom decorating ideas down. You might add the title “Farmhouse Master Bedroom Ideas”.
What colors do you have in mind? What curtains are you dreaming of? Are there new furniture pieces you need to budget for (or learn new DIY skills to make?)?
Once you have it all down on paper, it gets doable. All of those ideas and plans floating around in your head simply lead to overwhelm and doing nothing.
Now you are on your way to making a PLAN!
You need to take some time to consider how long this will all take and how much money you have to spend on decorating the room. It is really important to stay within the limits of what you can do realistically (this helps to avoid frustration).
There is a big difference in the room you can create with $100 and $1,000. But both can be amazing!
If your budget is on the smaller end of the scale, you might want to focus on paint for the walls, new pillows for the bed, and paint for transforming a furniture piece or two. You will be surprised and how much paint and a pop of color will change the look of your space! Those two things are always my go-to when my budget is small and my dreams are big!

Here are my ideas for getting the most for your money when you are creating a Farmhouse Style Bedroom:
- Shop the thrift store or yard sales. Since you are going for Farmhouse bedroom decor, buying old, vintage items works well. Be sure to buy goods that are in good shape and that match the look you are trying to achieve. And rather than looking for specifics, be open to new and surprising finds. This always helps because you never know what you are going to find. Be sure to be creative and remember that paint and ribbon and faux flowers can turn an item into exactly what you want!
- Make it yourself. Yes, you can do it! There are a ton of tutorials here on my blog and on Pinterest for simple projects for beginners. Whether you want to make something with wood or with fabric, search it until you find it! Scroll down to find some of the ones on my blog!
- Wait for sales at places like Hobby Lobby and Bed, Bath and Beyond. If you have a list of goods you want to buy, all it takes is some patience to wait for a sale. Each week check online to find out what stores are marking down. Your turn will come!
- Barter with friends to get the work done. Ask around to find out which person you know paints or sews pillows or builds benches. Then find out if there is something you do that they might trade that work for. I have done this numerous times with people. It always turns out great since I do not have to take the time to learn a new skill or do something that I do not like!
- If someone is giving old furniture away, take it and paint it! Seriously! Most of the furniture in my house (except for the main pieces) are furniture flips. I either got them free or under $10 (that is my sky-high budget limit!). Then I added a few dollars of paint and created something cute and useful!
