WELCOME TO MY HOME
Hello and welcome to my home!
I live with my daughter in a little house in a small town in Colorado. During the time we have been here I have remodeled and renovated to make this little corner of the world perfect for the two of us. Our space is small, but I believe that it is a great place for us to love and grow together.

THE LIVING ROOM
When we first moved in the walls in this room were a blue/gray, and while it was pretty, it was too drab for my taste. I like bright with a lot of white.
A plank wall was added and painted bright white, while the accent walls were painted seaglass. I love how the seaglass color acts like a neutral, but adds some color to the room. Lots of colors coordinate with seaglass so I can change decor items out seasonally if I want to.
My couch is sized for small spaces so it fits nicely. Anything bulkier would have dominated the room.

THE DINING ROOM
This space felt like a challenge when we moved in simply because it is so small. A regular sized table would not fit here, so I made my own table. I measured and chose my size and modified the tutorial to make it fit my needs.
This is one of the perks of DIY—you get to make it as you like it. There is no need to do what everyone else is doing!

THE KITCHEN
When I first moved in I had planned to paint the black cabinets white. The reality of the work needed to complete that job, however, changed my mind. I decided that since my living room, dining room and kitchen are one open space, I would use black and gray as my colors to make the space flow nicely.
I now like the contrast of the black in this small space, since I think it adds visual interest and keeps things from being boring.

MY BEDROOM
This room is tiny! Before we moved I had a large master bedroom with a huge bathroom all to myself, so this little space has taken some getting used to. Now that it is decorated to my taste, I love calling it my own. The walls were originally an ugly brown, so I painted them a nice light gray, and used navy blue and coral as my accent colors.
You may notice that I do not carry the same color scheme throughout my house. I do use color that look nicely together, but I would get bored with too much of the same colors. Be sure that when you are decorating your own spaces, you are doing what you love and not what stylists are telling you must be done!

MY OFFICE/CRAFT ROOM
This is another small space that has taken some getting used to, but I have used every single inch in this room to maximize its usefulness.
Ikea shelves cover two full walls and a large wood desktop creates an office workspace, as well as a space for making things.
I got tired of having my DIY projects on my dining table all of the time! Making a space for yourself somewhere in the house to “make” is totally worthwhile and it is not that hard to find a little corner to call your own!
Well, that is about it.
I hope you enjoyed touring my little house. It may lack in square footage, but there is no lack of love and happiness within the walls.
Thanks again for stopping to tour my home!
