SMOOTHIE RECIPES: 3 OF MY FAVORITES!
It’s all about smoothie recipes today!
I love drinking smoothies in the morning! This probably stems from my dislike of eating breakfast. Smoothies are just easy and good, and I can drink one when I am not feeling especially hungry but I know I need to eat.
When I make a smoothie I try to add some extra goodness to it: a bit of protein or a handful of spinach. This boosts the nutrition for me, and (believe it or not) you can’t taste the green goodness of the spinach.
So, just for you, here are three of my favorite smoothie recipes:
Banana + Peanut Butter = 1/2 frozen banana, 1 cup greek yogurt, 2 TB peanut butter, 1 small handful oats (uncooked)
Pineapple + Banana + Spinach = 1-1/2 cups frozen pineapple, 1/2 frozen banana, one handful of spinach, enough water to make the blender do it’s thing
Strawberry + Banana + Coconut = 1-1/2 cups strawberries, 1/2 frozen banana, enough coconut milk to make the blender do it’s thing
I will bet you noticed that there are bananas in every single one of those smoothie recipes! A banana that is a bit overripe and frozen is perfect for adding sweetness to a smoothie…you won’t need to add sugar!
If you have a favorite smoothie recipe, I would love for you to share it with me in the comments. It’s always good to change up the normal routine, don’t you think?
Have a great day, friends!
