Fall is one of my favorite seasons but that never occurs to me until it arrives. I spend so much time crushing on Summer that I find its end quite depressing. But only until I remember what comes to take its place.

One of the best things about fall’s arrival is the ability to get back on a good, workable schedule. It feels so great to be productive again with a calendar to tell me what to do. Summer fun is exhausting by the time it draws to a close.

Or at least it is for me!

Let’s get back to fall.

Things I love to do in the Fall are driving to see the leaves change in the mountains, drinking way too much hot cocoa, snuggling up on a cold day and watching football, hiking, picking apples and making pie, the corn maze (I know it is silly but still fun), wearing sweaters and boots, and just watching life slow down a little bit. It is like we are all getting ready to settle in and hibernate.

Now, let me tell you about one of my goals this year. And I will spend the Fall getting ready for it.

I am planning on actually enjoying Winter. Yes, I said it.

I will enjoy the cold weather months this year instead of complaining my way through them.

I believe that the secret will be to find some activities that I enjoy doing outside. My unused set of snowshoes will be tried out, for sure. And watching a football game in the stadium on a cold, snowy day sounds more than do-able.
